Inventory # 15 DESCRIPTION This is an original GM Rochester made factory cigarette lighter for a 1966 Pontiac Tempest LeMans & GTO that matches the other dash knobs. Casco also made lighters, see note below on how to tell which lighter you will need if you don’t have one to compare. Lighter looks like it is NOS, but the center circle area has some flows, so I will say it isn’t NOS, see photos. Element has never been used and is in perfect working condition (I guaranty it to work for 30 days from close of auction). I have been told 1966 Bonneville, Catalina, Star Chief, and Grand Prix also use this lighter. Look at the photos and compare. Fill that ugly hole in your dash or replace that cheap aftermarket lighter with this correct lighter. Clean and shiny and ready to install. Would also make a nice gift. GM used two different lighter assemblies on their vehicles, AC Rochester or Casco, the lighter knobs look the same, but the bottom element is different, they won’t interchange. How do you tell if you have a Rochester or Casco lighter receptacle socket if you don’t have a lighter? An easy way to tell which type you have (Casco or Rochester) is: Use a nickel and try it in the receptacle socket opening. It won’t go all the way into the CASCO receptacle socket but will go all the way into the Rochester. (Don’t let go of the nickel and drop it in, as it might short out the receptacle socket).
