I hope to have 100+ BIN JIVE listings continuously by the end of 2024.*************************************************************************************************************Very Deco 1936 Stewart Warner AM & SW R-136-A MAGIC DIAL Wooden Tube Radio-Serviced-Plays WellHere for your consideration is an Exceptional, Very Deco 1936 Stewart Warner AM & SW R-136-A MAGIC DIAL Wooden Tube Radio.This 7-tube 18” x 10” x 13” Walnut set is in very nice physical and playing condition.The cabinet appears original with just a very few minor nicks and bumps.I took this to my Tech Friend Tom and he replaced 15 capacitors, the line cord, and the plug. It is ready to go.It Picks up at least 12 AM stations, a couple stations on the 1.8-5.5 Police Band, and at least 12 stations on the 6-18MHz Shortwave band.It sounds awesome with its separate full tone control and large 8” speaker.The “Magic Dial “with its gear driven “second sweep hand” makes tuning very easy. The lit dial has a very dramatic night time look!The cabinet could use a light cleaning to really “POP”. I’ll leave that up to you too. It’s not that I’m lazy, but most people like them showing some age, and those who like them looking almost new usually enjoy cleaning them to the level they prefer. This is a rare radio, and the only one I have personally seen in my 50+ years of collecting Vintage Electronics.
